An award-winning transformation

This project was recognised with a Bronze award at the BITE Awards 2026, powered by EPSILONNET.
Dimosthenis Atteia, CISO of Kepenos Mills and chief editor of thecybersec.gr, played a central role.
The results showcase Kepenos Mills’ work to strengthen cybersecurity governance, develop procedures, and embed shared responsibility across the organisation, supported by Cymph.
The challenge

Fragmented procedures across a complex environment

Cybersecurity procedures were scattered across PDFs, emails and disconnected files.
Without a single source of truth, teams had no consistent way to manage updates, find the right procedure or demonstrate how it had been maintained.

The approach

One place to manage, maintain and execute procedures

Working with Cymph, Kepenos Mills built a central library of cybersecurity playbooks. The programme combined procedure development, centralisation and a documented OT/ICS risk assessment.

From existing documentation to structured playbooks

AI-assisted authoring helped the team convert existing documentation into structured procedures. A visual, no-code editor made those procedures easier to understand, including for non-technical staff.

Every procedure with a managed lifecycle

Versioning and draft, duplicate and revoke functions gave teams a consistent way to maintain procedures and distinguish current versions from outdated documents. Centralised, searchable access created a single source of truth.

Enabled collaboration across departments

Granular role-based access allowed IT, Operations, HR and Management to contribute within their responsibilities while maintaining the principle of least privilege. Procedures were authored entirely in Greek, with multilingual support available for international auditors and commercial partners.

Brought IT and OT into the same governance framework

The playbook library covered both business systems and production operations. Alongside it, Kepenos Mills completed its first documented OT/ICS risk assessment aligned with ISO 27005, supported by assessment criteria, a methodology, a risk register and a treatment plan.

The results

Clearer governance and faster access to procedures

Over 12 months, Kepenos Mills met or exceeded its core programme objectives.
